Your Solution to Dental Anxiety

Sedation Dentistry Options

Laughing Gas

We typically offer laughing gas, or inhalation sedation, to young children who have trouble sitting still, or adults who have mild dental anxiety.
This light, yet effective form of sedation has been utilized in the dental field for over 200 years. It is an odor-free gas that is administered through a breathing mask, placed over the nose for the duration of the treatment. While in the dentist's chair, our staff will adjust the level of gas based on your needs, ensuring you get just the right amount of medicine to keep you relaxed.
Unlike oral conscious sedation and IV sedation, the effects of laughing gas dissipate almost immediately after the nasal mask is removed. This means you can get back to your day as you normally would!

Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation is typically offered to patients who have moderate to severe anxiety, or to those who have special healthcare needs. It's usually taken in pill-form at least 30 minutes prior to the procedure to achieve a full level of relaxation - or sometimes sleep! - once the procedure begins.
Because the effects of oral conscious sedation last longer than the dental treatment, a trusted caregiver must drive you to and from your appointment.

IV Sedation

Intravenous (IV) sedation, also known as sleep dentistry, is offered to patients with extreme dental anxiety, to those with special healthcare needs, or for those who are set to undergo oral surgery or a long treatment. Our team works with a highly-trained dental anesthesiologist who will be right there with you - every step of the way!
Because the effects of IV sedation last longer than the dental treatment, a trusted caregiver must drive you to and from your appointment.
